A West Midlands spindle back armchair in ash, elm and beech.
Stylistically similar to the well known Clisset, Kerry & Warrender chairs, however the arms, spindles and finials indicate a maker outside these families within the counties of Shropshire and Herefordshire.
The shaped under seat frieze, generous proportions and turned, chamfered rear arms are favourite features.
A richly patinated, sophisticated example of English regional furniture in excellent condition.
