
A wrought iron harnen stand from Ulster.
Of rare form, a sunrise.
Used for the 'harning' (hardening) of oatcake farls in front of an open fire, 'one for every home' until many were scrapped in the latter part of the 20th century.
A wonderful, surviving piece of sculptural folk art.
