A shapely glazed and sponge decorated terracotta jug from Tata - Transdanubian region of Hungary.
The ornamentation of Tata pottery is unique, composed of hachures of blue against a white or cream background with floral motifs.
Condition wise it ticks all the boxes and is a remarkable surviving example of folk pottery from the 19th century.
